Irish Golf Open Venue 2010 - Killarney Golf Course
The Irish Golf Open venue has changed from course to course around Ireland in recent years, but in 2007 and 2008 it was staged at Adare Manor, but in 2010 it will be played at the Killarney Golf Club in County Kerry.
TheIrish Open for 2010 will be played on the Killeen Course which is the jewel in the crown of the Killarney golf Club, it is sure to provide a test for all the top players making it a cracking course.
There will be over 60,000 people attending the Irish Golf Open this year. The Killeen course is set amongst the most beautiful unspoilt seaside setting where the course weaves its path through huge sandhills and challenging rough. The play is very often governed by a wind that will test all golfers no matter what their standing. There will be a requirement for some long hitting but it is accuracy that will win the day on this course.
The 2009 Irish Open Golf Tournament will hope to see, once again, an Irishman lift the trophy. It happened in 2007 and last year and provided great excitement for the Irish crowd who witnessed a genuine Irish hero Padraig Harrington win the tournament in 2007. There will be the usual number of home players taking their place in the event, but the Tournament also attracts many big names form the world of golf and will be a fierce competition.
